1920's

The Prohibition Era changed the face of the world; the 20's was the decade that saw the rise of jazz and the fall of the stock market.  Caught between the hedonistic attitude of the "flappers" and the reactionary efforts of the prohibitionists, society was in for a decade of change.  "Flappers," young and liberated men and women of the time, stretched the boundaries of acceptability.  Known for their loose fitting dresses and pinstripe suits, flappers and gangsters are two favorites from this time period.  Whether dancing the Charleston or lounging in a speak-easy, bedecked in rows of beads or spats and a carnation one thing is for certain, a night in twenties attire can be both elegant and enjoyable.
